Description

This is my Assembly Summer 2008 graphics competition entry image. Just wanted to share it and show some transformation which I did for myself based on photographs. Also practiced to clone and paint details with painter. So, the girl in the image is kind of new technology for me. This is just my small humble opener here.

Due of so many characters in the image, it took me over month to create.

If you are interested to see some details of the process, check out the scene link.

Really cool image! I recognized almost all of them. I like the 'what is art?' blackboard. Very creative stuff.

Thank you for your comments. Indeed this picture sums up many things and transform to a concept surreal. It got some inside jokes, it got many characters, real and fictional, which I admire and have found inspiring & entertaining. I truly wanted to mimic them by myself. it's about vulnerability and mental sickness, it's about chasing love, it's about showing in the wrong place in the wrong time. It's about imagination. It's about games (it's my own equilibrium). It's about artism. There are some pointers to different movies which leads to a funny joke. I really loved the movie beautiful mind and build this picture from some feelings which I could restore from that movie and i'm totally laughing to myself on all of it. There are things which I just added into it, not defining a specific meaning to them, I just felt that somehow they must be included. It's about old and new technology and natural things which bring color for our lives (that's why the monotony). At first I thought that I would make image where Elvis would be a god like director or teacher and an auditorium full of rascal geniuses which somehow messes their potential due of the too intensive entertainment and things which don't derive from the beauty of universe, but then I thought: okay, I'm participating to a graphics compo and there is a big arena full of younger people and then I decided that I need a model. So, I was calculating and thinking about what others would like to see, but, after all I must say that probably this is fine, as this beauty is nicely metaphorical for life and it's evolving and developing character and from that point I attached this 'flower of life' (solution for everything) and in one point I was thinking to attempt to find some weird formula and symbologic graphics art over all these character (a'la beautiful mind) which would interfere with the golden ratio and other magical points. After all there is not just one message in it, and you can invent yourself what it is. For me, it is equilibrium. This way I can compete with myself, and it's the best victory to get over from that.

ok.. now I understand a little what you intended with this pic.. it seems, that it was planed carefully (at least parts of it).. the concept is not bad.. but I wished there was a central theme and that is was composed more clearly..
